Short Biography


Marieta del Rivero is Independent NED to Cellnex Telecom - the main independent infrastructure operator for wireless telecommunication in Europe- and Chairperson of the Remunerations, Nominations and Sustainability Committee. She is Independent NED to Gestamp Automotive -an international group dedicated to the design, development, and manufacture of metal automotive components- Member of the Sustainability Committee and Trustee at Gestamp Foundation.

Chairperson of the Board of Onivia - the first neutral wholesale bitstream Fiber to The Home (FFTH) operator in the Spanish market- and Chair of the CNR. Member of the Board of Advisors at Mutualidad de la Abogacía. Marieta is a credentialed Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and Executive Coach certified by the European School of Coaching.

She has 25 years of experience in the technology, mobility, digital, B2C and B2B industries. She has performed across the value chain: retailer, telecom operator and software and hardware domains getting a holistic overview of the business. She has been CMO at Amena (Orange FT), CEO of Nokia Iberia, Global CMO of Telefonica Group and Deputy to the General Manager of commercial and digital of Telefonica Group and Industry, Senior Advisor to Ericsson, Advisor to Made in Möbile, an innovative Internet of Things company, and Advisor to Roca Salvatella, a digital transformation consultant. From 2017 to 2020, Marieta was Partner at Seeliger and Conde, a leading-edge firm in executive search, culture shaping and board practice.

Marieta is keen on good corporate governance: she is Co-Chair at Women Corporate Directors, Member of the board of Executives Association of Spain (AED), and member of the Spanish Institute of Advisors (ICA). She was Board Member of International Women's Forum Spain and the President of this chapter from 2017 to 2019.

Marieta has been recognized as one of the '500 Most Influential Women in Spain' by 'El Mundo' newspaper in 2018, 2019; 2020; 2021, 2022 & 2023; one of the 'Top 100 Women Leader 2018' by Mujeres & Cía; the 'Best Women Leader 2017' by the Spanish Association of Businesswomen (ASEME); and one of the 'Top Executive Women in Spain' to be followed on Twitter.
