Short Biography


Ray McMahon started his career with Citibank in Australia in 1994 before returning to Ireland to work at Merrill Lynch where he worked as  an analyst, designing risk management systems. Ray then joined IBM in 1998 and worked on their Global Services team designing systems for banks in Scandinavia and Ireland. Ray returned to Merrill Lynch in 2003 where he joined the Fixed Income team and became the Head of Fixed Income Sales for Merrill Lynch in Ireland. In 2008, Ray Joined Canaccord Genuity where he established a European Fixed Income Trading Division and assumed the role of Head of European Credit Trading with a focus on Distressed Debt Trading and European Structured Credit. In 2013, Ray was a founding investor in Dilosk, which is now Ireland’s leading non-bank lending business. In 2017 Ray moved from being a non-executive director of Dilosk to an executive director and Chief Operating Officer at Dilosk. In 2020, Ray became the Chief Commercial Officer of Dilosk which today has circa €2 billion of AUM. Ray has a B.A. Degree in Political Science and Economics from the National University of Ireland, a Graduate Diploma in Systems Analysis and Design from the National University of Ireland and an M.Sc in Investment, Treasury and Banking from Dublin City University. Ray is a Director of the Pentagon Bond Fund and a Director of the RISE Global Foundation.
