Short Biography


Margaret is a career human resources leader and DE&I advocate withdemonstrated experience building human capability - talent, leadership, organization,and HR - while leading transformation and change at highly visible companies.

Margaret served as Chief Human Resources Officer at UnivisionCommunications, Inc. from 2016 through 2021, seeing the Spanish language mediaconglomerate through ownership and leadership changes culminating in a merger withTelevisa in January 2022. Most recently, Margaret worked with Cerberus Capital’sOperating and Advisory Company as a senior operating advisor providing humancapital expertise to accelerate operational performance at the portfoliocompany level.

Prior to Univision, Margaret led the human resources teams at GECapital’s portfolio of lending and leasing businesses in the Americas and previouslyfor the Global Commercial Real Estate business.  Margaret held a series of executive level humanresources leadership roles across NBC Universal’s broadcast, network entertainment,cable and digital businesses in operations located in New York, Miami, and LosAngeles during a tenure marked by evolution in the industry, growth through acquisitions,and diversification. In addition, she served as global co-chair of parentcompany GE’s Hispanic employee resource group and a participant on the corporatediversity council. Margaret started her career in human resources at Macy’sfollowing completion of their management training program.

Margaret currently serves on the board of directors for HeartlandFinancial USA, Inc. (Nasdaq:HTLF) and is an advisory board member for Xapa, a gamifiedpersonal enrichment engine; Bullseye Engagement, an HR software company, andthe Latinx Executive Alliance advancing representation of Latinx talent incorporate leadership roles. She also serves on the board of Hispanic Federationand has held previous non-profit board roles with the T. Howard Foundation andthe I Have a Dream Foundation, Los Angeles.
